Jeff Tang
Coach Jeff brings a wealth of experience in the beautiful game, having competed as a former professional futsal player in China and receiving over 15 years of elite training in 11-a-side football along with 4 years of professional futsal development. His unique background allows him to blend the technical demands of futsal with the tactical components of traditional football, offering players a highly detailed and innovative approach to skill development.
Coach Jeff has over 5 years of experience as private trainer, having worked with the players of the Chinese Men’s National Team, the Chinese Futsal National Team, as well as talents from Richmond Hill OPDL and Unionville OPDL. His ability to adapt training methods to individual players’ needs has made him a trusted mentor for athletes striving to reach their next level.
With his deep belief that technical foundations are the true cornerstone of player development, Coach Jeff emphasizes the importance of mastering core skills before introducing advanced tactical concepts. He has identified a gap in the Canadian youth training system where players are often exposed to tactical schemes too early, before their fundamentals are fully secure. To address this, Coach Jeff incorporates the Japanese Ginga technical training philosophy into his sessions, ensuring that young players build a strong base of ball mastery, agility, and creativity.
As a coach, Jeff’s mission is to elevate the standard of player development by combining his professional background and passion for the game. His approach not only improves technical sharpness but also inspires confidence and creativity in every player he works with.
Logo Explanation

Logo Concept
The logo is built around the team’s core philosophy: “The Journey to Success.”
The initials SJ are integrated into the top football element, symbolizing that every player is progressing toward becoming stronger and more mature in their own unique way.
At the bottom of the shield sits the classic black-and-white football — the “heart” of the entire emblem. It represents the starting point of all training and development: the players’ pure love for the game. The upward extension of the ball echoes the shapes of S and J, conveying the idea of continuous progress and growth from the ground up.
The primary color, deep green, stands for stability, resilience, and steady improvement. Paired with black, it reflects the values of discipline and focus — qualities that SJ Football Academy hopes every young player will develop.
